New Chines Graphics Contest

The Istituto organizes an annual competition dedicated to young designers of different nationalities hoping to offer them the opportunity to communicate, through their creativity and innovative capabilities, their vision of the political, cultural and social situations in their countries, and through various expositions express these ideas in Spain. This year 2008, IED Barcelona has chosen China as the country invited to participate in the competition, and in collaboration with CASA ASIA Barcelona ( Asia House Barcelona), announce the competition New Chinese Graphics, concerning the theme ”Graphic reflections of your country”, among the young designers of your country. An international jury composed of important figures in art and design, will choose 30 pieces, between all the works received through internet, which will be admitted to the exhibition. An overall winner of the competition will subsequently be selected, who will receive a 6000€ scholarship for an Advanced Educational Course (Master or Post-Graduate degree) or a Specialization at the Istituto Europeo di Design (Barcelona or Madrid campuses). The competition will be followed by an exposition at IED Barcelona, curated by the Mexican graphic designer Eric Olivares.
