Can I do 2 summer courses at the same time?
Due to coinciding timetables, it is not possible to do more than one summer course at a time.
Some of the summer courses are given in Spanish and others in English. How is the student’s language level tested?
Students who wish to attend a course given in a language other than their native language will have to prove an advanced oral and written level of that language. For courses in English, students must present a TOEFL certificate or other officially-recognised certificate. For courses in Spanish, if the student does not have a certificate, they can carry out an interview via Skype (master.iedbarcelona).
What difference is there between a specialisation course and a summer course?
In terms of the study load, there may be a similarity between some specialisation courses and summer courses. The main difference is that specialisation courses are taught between November and June, 3 days a week for 4 months; whereas the summer courses are intensive and take place in July, from Monday to Friday.
How much does my course cost? Why are the summer courses priced differently?
Introductory summer courses (80 hours) cost € 2,100.
Advanced summer courses (100 hours) cost € 2,500.
Barcelona-Madrid combined summer courses (60 hours) cost € 1,500.
In addition, for all courses, if the student chooses the ‘full package’ option (course+accommodation) € 800 will be added to the course price.
Does the IED provide financial assistance for summer courses?
At the moment, IED Barcelona does not offer any financing options for summer courses.
